Learning When to Begin, Follow, and Lead

Knowing what to do when a difficult situation comes up is not always easy, especially for young people still learning how to communicate with others. We Got This: Student Appreciation Techniques for Handling Conflicts by Dr. Linda Davis is designed as both a workbook and student portfolio that can be used with classroom communication arts lesson plans or on its own.

The book focuses on three important ideas: learning how to begin again, understanding when to follow and when to lead, and weighing different options for success. By giving students a structured way to think through situations, We Got This encourages them to look at their choices and consider how their decisions can affect themselves and others.

Experience Rooted in Education

Dr. Linda M. Davis earned a bachelor of science degree in education from Harris Stowe College in St. Louis, Missouri, and a master of education degree from National-Louis University in Evanston, Illinois. She served as a chairperson for St. Louis Accelerated Schools and co-authored Creating a Literacy-Centered Classroom.

Her work in student conflict education includes the 2012 publication Conflict Mediation: Student Appreciation Techniques for Handling Conflict, a workbook and portfolio for students in Grades 3 through 5. In 2020, she received a Doctor of Pastoral Theology degree from Anchor Theological Seminary and Bible Institute in Pharr, Texas.
