Verses That Came from Living It
Maximus Poetry by Ken Jackson is raw, honest, and deeply personal. This collection doesn’t pretend poetry comes from quiet rooms and perfect moments. It comes from life, mistakes, creativity, and survival. Ken Jackson’s journey into poetry started with music and songwriting, then took an unexpected turn that changed how and why he wrote.
Inside Maximus Poetry, readers will find poems shaped by discipline, repetition, and reflection. Writing became therapy, structure, and release. The words don’t chase perfection. They chase truth. Some poems feel rough around the edges, others reflective and thoughtful, but all of them carry lived experience behind every line.
The Author of the Book
Ken Jackson’s creative path began with music, studying guitar, bass, jazz, piano, songwriting, and creative writing. His early years were filled with recording sessions and artistic exploration, including working with influential producers during the height of rock music’s evolution.
During a long period of incarceration, Ken turned fully to poetry, using it as a form of healing and consistency. Writing regularly helped him sharpen his voice and discipline. After his release, he returned to music while continuing to write and share poetry. His work reflects growth, resilience, and an unfiltered look at creative survival.
