A Life Spent Behind the Tables
Barney Vinson came to Las Vegas in 1967 and quickly became immersed in the world of casinos and gaming. After attending a local dealers’ school, he worked at several well-known Las Vegas casinos, including the Pioneer Club, Mint Hotel, Landmark, and Dunes. He later became a Gaming Instructor at Caesars Palace.
Before becoming a full-time writer, Barney built a career filled with experiences that gave him a firsthand look at the world he writes about. His credits include appearances on CNN, MSNBC, the Travel Channel, and Game Show Network, along with consulting work and speaking engagements throughout the gaming industry. He is also the author of several books about Las Vegas, casinos, and the colorful world surrounding them.
