When Life Does Not Go According to Plan
Life can feel comfortable for years until something unexpected changes everything. A sudden challenge can affect a family, a relationship, or even the way a person sees the future. Paradise Endures by Patricia Jensen explores the lives of couples, families, and individuals whose ordinary routines are interrupted by circumstances they never planned for.
Everyone handles difficult experiences differently. Some find strength through family and friends, while others struggle to let go of what happened. The book looks at the choices people make when facing life’s unexpected turns and the importance of deciding whether to move forward or remain tied to the past. It reminds readers that although we cannot always control what happens, we still have a choice in how we respond.
A Writer Inspired by Life and Family
Patricia Jensen began writing later in life after spending much of her career in business. She lived in the San Diego area for nearly thirty years and owned her own business before moving to Northern California, where she became a small business owner again. She now lives with her husband and has two sons and three grandchildren.
Her writing includes Paradise Beckons, her first work of fiction, and John or Is It Fred, a historical fiction story inspired by her husband’s family. That book grew from old family heirlooms and documents discovered during the 2020 lockdown, along with research and memories shared by older relatives. Having lived through the women’s rights era of the 1960s and 70s, Jensen also brings her experiences with marriage, family, and work into her writing. She is continuing the story of Paradise Beckons through its sequel, Paradise Endures.
