Following God's Fingerprints Through Life

Some stories begin with a question that changes everything. Trusting Jesus: One Man’s Journey Through Grace, Family, and Faith by James R. Needham grew from a simple conversation between a grandfather and his grandchildren. What started as family storytelling soon became a heartfelt memoir filled with unforgettable adventures, career milestones, personal failures, and moments where faith quietly transformed an ordinary life into an extraordinary testimony.

Readers will travel alongside Jim through decades of experiences in broadcasting, education, family life, and Christian service while discovering how God’s guidance often appears when it is least expected. More than a memoir, this is an inspiring reminder that every challenge and every blessing can reveal God’s purpose when viewed through the eyes of faith.

A Career Built on Service and Storytelling

James R. Needham enjoyed a distinguished career in broadcasting before spending seventeen years teaching at Ball State University. During his years in public television, he played an important role in bringing The Joy of Painting with Bob Ross to audiences across the country while helping develop educational broadcasting programs.

Outside of his professional accomplishments, Jim has devoted much of his life to serving his church and community through leadership, missions, mentoring, and education. Together with his wife Linda, he has built a life centered on faith, family, and encouraging others to recognize God’s presence in everyday life.
