Kravitz And Sons

Jennifer: The Special One by Helena R. Chung is a heartwarming children’s story about kindness, friendship, and discovering the beauty in people who might seem different at first. When young Sherry meets Jennifer on the first day of school, she’s immediately drawn to her new classmate’s sadness—and decides to do something about it. Through gentle persistence and compassion, Sherry helps Jennifer come out of her shell, and a special bond begins to form. But when Sherry’s mom meets Jennifer’s teacher, the story takes a turn that explains why Jennifer is, truly, “the special one.”

Helena R. Chung lives in California with her husband and four daughters. She’s deeply involved in her church community and is currently pursuing a degree in Christian Studies at Regent University.

Her real-life experience caring for children with disabilities gives this story its touching authenticity and heart.
