Janmarie Oakley grew up in Southeast Texas and attended Lamar University and graduated from School of Nursing in 1973. She specialized in geriatric nursing and retired after forty-three years of service. As a nurse, wife, mother, grandparent, teacher, mentor, and friend; God has used Jan’s insight into His Word to touch the lives of many. Her knowledge of nursing and healthcare is coupled with her genuine love for people. Her journey through life and commitment to helping others has opened a variety of doors of ministry such as leading Alzheimer’s Support group for caregivers, card ministry, and presenting training seminars for nurses .Jan and her husband live in Dallas, Texas, with their dog Dixie. They have three children and two grandchildren. They love boating and frequently host a neighborhood Bible study in their home. Writing a devotional book was a goal that Jan has had for a long time.
