We'll be Joining Shanghai Book Fair
Big news, story lovers — Kravitz & Sons is heading to the China Shanghai International Children’s Book Fair (CCBF) 2025! Set to happen from November 14 to 16 at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Centre, this fair is all about imagination meeting innovation. With this year’s theme, “Embracing the Future,” the spotlight is on how storytelling continues to grow, adapt, and inspire the next generation of readers across the world.
For those new to it, the China Shanghai International Children’s Book Fair isn’t your average book event. It’s officially approved by the Shanghai Press & Publication Administration, organised by Shanghai Xinhua Distribution Group Co., Ltd., China Education Publishing & Media Group Ltd., and China Universal Press & Publication Co., Ltd., and co-organised by Ronbo BolognaFiere Shanghai Ltd. Since its launch in 2013, CCBF has grown into Asia Pacific’s leading fair fully dedicated to children’s books and creative content. In just over a decade, it has become a global meeting ground for publishers, authors, illustrators, and educators who believe in one thing — that good stories can shape a better future.
Over the years, the fair has lived up to its motto, “Embracing the Future,” by becoming more than a place for books — it’s now a creative hub for rights trading, marketing solutions, and cross-industry collaboration. It’s also where China’s publishing vision, known as the “go global, bring in” strategy, truly comes alive: sharing original Chinese stories with the world while bringing in the best global titles to local readers. Since 2018, CCBF has partnered closely with the Bologna Children’s Book Fair (BCBF) — the world’s largest and most influential children’s literature fair — making this collaboration a powerhouse for creativity and cultural exchange.
In 2024, the fair drew 497 leading publishers and children’s content players from 32 countries and territories, including 180 international exhibitors. Within three days, over 41,000 visitors explored the booths, events, and exhibitions that filled the venue with color, conversation, and creativity.
