John “Skip” McKoy has traveled extensively in Central America, Africa, Asia, and Europe. Fluent in Spanish, he worked for two years as a community organizer in Guatemala. Professionally, he has led major public, private, and nonprofit organizations in the United States. Son of the Maya is his second novel. Born in Philadelphia, he has lived in Boston, San Francisco, and Washington, DC, where he now resides with his wife, Andrea Gay.
