A Clear Spiritual Map
Some books spark nothing but understanding—and The Sea of Glass: A Clear Understanding of the Scriptures in Spiritual Terms by Roger Akerley is one of them. Instead of dense commentary, this upcoming release guides you into seeing the Bible not as literal history, but as a map to spiritual wisdom. With themes of self‑learning, self‑understanding, and self‑control, Akerley leads readers toward connecting with scripture from the inside out.
The Sea of Glass isn’t just a book—it’s a process. Akerley breaks down the walls between organized religion and personal spiritual insight by explaining that anyone, regardless of background or formal education, can access divine truth. Through relatable life stories and practical advice, he shows how spiritual understanding isn’t found in dogma—but in the quiet voice of the heart. This is a book for seekers, thinkers, and anyone ready to take ownership of their spiritual journey.
Guided by Lifelong Study
Roger Akerley was born the last of seven children in 1947 in St. Leonard, New Brunswick, Canada. He grew up as a member of the Catholic church and due to the circumstances of his family, he left school after fifth grade to go to work. He came to the United States at the age of 17 in 1964. He has read the Bible for his entire life, and he has always had the feeling that anyone, regardless of their level of education or ability, could learn the true meaning of the Scriptures for themselves. In his lifelong struggles of learning, he had to learn the English language as well as adapting to a new country as he became a US citizen. He truly believes that the Lord revealed the true meaning of the Scriptures to him and has asked him to inform mankind of this understanding.
