Faith, History, and Powerful Conviction

Some books make you stop and think about what you believe, and Biblical and Non-Biblical Evidences by Joseph Dean DeBarthe is one of them. This thought-provoking book takes a fearless look at the Book of Mormon, its authenticity, and the misconceptions that surround it. DeBarthe’s writing isn’t just informative; it’s deeply personal, making readers feel like they’re part of a conversation rather than just reading another religious text.

He combines scripture, history, and personal conviction to create a compelling read that challenges believers to think deeper and seek spiritual confirmation. Whether you’re picking it up to learn, question, or strengthen your faith, this book invites you to pause, pray, and have an honest conversation with God through reflection and study.

“The testimonies of The Book of Mormon prophets strengthen and support the message of the Bible. Quite often its richness expands and further clarifies what the Bible has provided, for example, demystifying the term “familiar spirit.” Is it not true that those of us who are familiar with the Holy Spirit are, in fact, dealing with a Spirit we know well? That “familiar spirit,” the Holy Spirit, leads us into all truth and verifies that these two testimonies are the same.”
