We’re excited to offer authors a unique opportunity to enhance their book’s visibility and accessibility through our Special Stockpiling service. Your work will find its way to both independent bookstores and educational institutions, making it easier for readers to discover your title.
While many authors embrace digital publishing, having a physical presence in bookstores and libraries remains a hallmark of literary achievement. Seeing your name on shelves solidifies your credibility as an author. However, pitching a book to retailers can be challenging, as they consider factors like marketability, returnability, and overall quality.
At Kravitz & Sons, we help you navigate these hurdles with our Special Stockpiling service.
Here’s how it works:
- Contact Us: If you’re an author who has published a book with Kravitz & Sons, reach out to us to utilize the Special Stockpiling service.
- Book Placement: We’ll pitch your book to our network of brick-and-mortar bookstores for confirmed placement.
- Shipping Fees: Authors will cover shipping and related costs for their books before delivery to our partnered outlets.
- Guaranteed Inventory: We promise extra copies after the initial shipment of three copies of your title.
- Sales Split: Once accepted by a bookstore, your book will be on display, with the bookseller earning 10% of sales and you receiving the remaining 90%.
- Sales Duration: Your book will be available for up to twelve months. If any copies remain unsold, you have two options:
- Allow the bookstore to donate the unsold inventory, or
- Arrange for the books to be returned at your expense.
Important Notes:
- This service is exclusive to authors who have published with Kravitz & Sons.
- Our partner bookstores are located in the U.S. only.
- A minimum order of 1,000 copies is required per title.
