Alphabet Animals was written to help teach children their ABCs and to help them learn about different animal characteristics and habitats. The author feels that reading with children at an early age will teach them how to read on their own and encourage them to like reading.

Lynnie Adrian was raised in Greenburgh, New York. She wanted to become a teacher but after high school, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in fashion merchandising. She now lives in Peekskill, New York with her husband and daughter. The author taught her own daughter to read when she was just two years old. She would take her to the library every Saturday and let her daughter choose books she wanted to read. “Reading together is the key. It helps to let kids choose their own books, instead of always required reading. Reading should be an experience, not a chore. Make it fun and they will go far.
