Following his two-year stay in South America, Scott R. Hoyt returned to the United States to attend college. The author soon fell in love and got married, started a family and eventually graduated from law school. Mr. Hoyt is still an active Mormon, a retired partner from Gibson Dunn & Crutcher and currently a partner in Pia Hoyt where he practices law with his oldest son and a few other partners.
